How To Get A 10ft Virgin Through An 8ft Gate

**1/2

Despite the suggestive title, this is a religious question.

In a picturesque - aren't they all? - village in the mountains of Peru, they have an annual celebration for the Virgen del Carmen. This involves the villagers walking through the street(s), following an effigy of the Virgin Mary. Nothing unusual, you might think, except this year they have put the Virgin on a bigger plinth and she's too tall to get through the church gate.

How they manage it and what they do is the raison d'etre of Karina Garcia Casanova's four-minute film. She doesn't play tricks. She shows it as it is.

You won't be amazed.
